I know about the occasional silences. The talk was streamed over a videocall and the Wi-Fi wasn't too good. Captions hopefully coming at some point

About

As a recipient of the Software Sustainability Institute Fellowship (January 2026 - March 2027), Kevin Rue-Albrecht described his proposal for improving the visibility and reuse of software and training across research communities, drawing examples from his experience in the R/Bioconductor community as a user, developer, and through his community-facing roles in the Community Advisory Board, Code of Conduct committee, and various working groups. He aimed to deliver an introductory overview of the Bioconductor project, highlighting aspects that have contributed to its thriving community and opportunities for new contributions.

This talk was held in Oxford on 24 February 2026, as part of this initiative. We have Oxford-based events about free, libre and open-source software, in-person and online for everyone!
